Could you give a little time?

We urgently need your driving, befriending or DIY skills to help vulnerable and isolated people in West Oxfordshire.

What we do.

We link up volunteers with people who need a little extra support. By driving someone to a medical appointment, helping out in their garden, changing a lightbulb or by simply having a chat and a cup of tea, you can make a huge difference. All our volunteers are thoroughly checked and references sought before undertaking any tasks

Why volunteer?

Your small act of kindness will enable people to feel less lonely and isolated whilst living independently in their own homes.

Volunteering your time and skills is rewarding, confidence-boosting and fun!

When you share your skills and a little of your time, you get so much in return.

Connect with people and your community – meet other volunteers, make friends and improve your own wellbeing.

Be a driver

By offering a lift to an important appointment you can help someone avoid a stressful bus journey or expensive taxi ride or even not attend their appointment at all. Our drivers are paid 45p per mile for each journey.

Befriend someone

There are so many lonely and vulnerable people living in our community. Giving your time and energy will give them something to look forward to – either with a visit or a phone call.

Offer practical support

Small jobs around the home and garden can become a big worry for vulnerable people. Cutting the lawn, fixing a broken shelf or changing the batteries in the remote could help them to stay longer in their own home worry-free.
